Structural Glazing Work

Structural glazing is a system of bonding glass to a building's structural framing members "utilizing a high strength, l1igh performance silicon sealant specifically designed and tested for structural glazing.! ! Structural glazing systems, in their simplest form, are types of curtain wall systems consisting of glass that is bonded or anchored back to a structure without the use of continuously gasketed aluminum pressure plates or caps. Tuffen Glazing

This is a type of glass that has undergone processes of controlled thermal treatment which increases its strength. The glass is heated to approximately 650 degrees and then rapidly cooled. This process introduces stress into the glass and produces a glass 4-5 times stronger than ordinary glass. Toughened glass can still be broken, however if this does happen it shatters into small fragments, minimising the risk of injury caused by glass splinters.

Curtain Wall Glazing
